fishing vessels viz. Mate Fishing Vessel Course and Engine
Driver Fishing Vessel Course.

The
candidate after passing the above Regular courses have to obtain
the required sea service for appearing the respective competency
examination.
Sea
service can be obtained from either Govt. fishing vessels or
private owned fishing vessels. The posting on board Govt. fishing vessels for obtaining the
sea service for successful candidates are arranged by CIFNET on
the merit list of passing the examination. These trainees thus may have to wait to get their posting
in the Govt. fishing vessels for acquiring sea service. However, the trainees can get the sea service by working
on any fishing vessels themselves.
